They say a picture is worth 1000 words, but these photos still wouldn’t be enough to explain what this East Coast trip meant to our players. For some it was a lot of first experiences like being on a place, traveling without parents, playing against east coast teams, playing in front of college coaches, etc. For others it was their opportunity to bond with their teammates and create the friendships that not only elicit huge moments on the field but will remain for years to come. For others, greater connections between players and coaches formed with the added downtime outside of typical practices. For everyone, it was an experience full of incredible memories and learning that will serve them on and off the field for the rest of their lives. Going to recruiting tournaments can be a business trip and while we take care of the work, it is so much more. It is a gateway to connection, community, and each player’s future. It is so important to us that we scholarship 20% of players on these trips.
