SUPPORT COACH RILEY & ELI AND TEAM LATVIA!
Exciting news, Coaches Eli and Riley Lasda have been selected to play in the 2023 World Lacrosse Championships for Team Latvia! The games will be held right here in Southern California at San Diego State University.
Opening Ceremony will be June 21st and games will be played through the championship game on July 1st. With 30 nations from 6 continents competing for Gold, this is an opportunity to see lacrosse at its highest level. Teams will also be competing to qualify for a spot in the 2028 LA Olympics as Lacrosse is reintroduced after a century hiatus from the Games.
Travel, Food, Equipment, and Accommodation all add up. There are a few fun ways to get involved and support team Latvia, Coach RIley and Coach Eli in San Diego this summer, and help their bid to become future Olympic Athletes.

Latvia first competed in the Worlds in 2006 and has been growing steadily since. One big obstacle to that growth has been securing equipment for youth programs. Lacrosse gear, expensive already, can be double the price when shipped to Latvia. If you have any old gear collecting dust, we would happily take it off your hands and donate it to the Latvian Lacrosse Federation where it would find a gracious home in the hands of a future player. Latvia Schedule:
We would love to have our Dragons families on the sidelines in San Diego. The tournament is being held primarily at San Diego State University from June 21st to July 1st. The Latvian Team’s pool schedule has been released and is as follows:
- Pre-Tournament Scrimmage vs The Haudenosaunee – June 19th @10am
- Latvia vs Peru – June 22nd @10am
- Latvia vs Ireland – June 24th @10am
- Latvia vs Korea – June 25th @7pm
- Latvia vs Netherlands – June 26th @ 1pm
