RILEY PADIAN
2024
TOWSON UNIVERSITY
Congratulations to Riley Padian on her commitment to play Division I at Towson University! With deep Maryland roots we are so excited Riley found her perfect match in Towson.
Hailing from Palos Verdes, California, Riley started playing lacrosse when she was in middle school. A soccer convert, Riley showed up to her first Fire practice with natural athleticism and a world of potential! Riley is best known for her drive and willingness to compete on the field. She is among the fiercest competitors who consistently rallies those around her by simply doing the HARD WORK in every play of the game.
Riley’s Beginner to Baller come up is largely attributed to her playing style. She plays with unmatched grit and ICE IN HER VEINS. We can recount in her first President’s Cup debut where she completely took the game over and was the spark her team needed to pull out a well earned win. She was lethal on the draw circle, battled her way to win every 50/50 ball and then would immediately contribute to the offensive scoring play with a set up for a teammate or a sick outside rip that she clearly had been perfecting on her own time outside of practice. With every hit she took in that game she played harder and stronger! It was that day her coaches saw the promise of extremely special athlete who would do whatever she could for the team and would not back down from tough competition but embrace it head on!
In less than a year’s time Riley went from learning how to pass and catch, to being a stand out player for her team at one of the most competitive lacrosse tournaments high school lacrosse has to offer. Fast forward to this past Spring, when she led her high school team as a sophomore by averaging 5 goals a game and earning many Player of the Game recognitions. Throughout her recruiting process she stayed focused and dedicated to her goals and journey in the same way she stays focused and dedicated in game competition. Her growth in such a short amount of time is a remarkable accomplishment and we are so proud!
Please join us in congratulating Riley! Her journey is proof that with perseverance, consistency, and a strong belief in yourself you can reach those big goals! Did someone say Eye Of The Tiger?! Cue the music! GO TIGERS!
