2 Days to Camp!! Below are additional details so you have better insight into the Fire Camp experience.

DROP OFF & PICK UP: You will be dropping your player off at Historic Belmar Park. We will walk the entire group to the Santa Monica HS Cafeteria for lunch. Pick up will also be at Historic Belmar Park, shortly after 3:30pm. Coaches will walk the players from the cafeteria back to the Civic Center parking structure. If you would like to meet your daughter outside the cafeteria, that is fine as well. The cafeteria does not have an address but it is inside the new Discovery Building (see main image for reference). The Discovery Building is a straight walk up from the 4th Street Entrance of Santa Monica HS.

Saturday, May 21

  • 8:00am: Arrival – Belmar Park
  • 8:00am to Noon: Field Activities – Belmar Park
  • Noon to 1:00pm: Lunch – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 1:00pm to 1:30pm: Nutrition Session – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 1:30pm to 2:30pm: Workshop – Best Team I’ve Ever Been On – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 2:30pm to 2:40pm: Break
  • 2:40pm to 3:10pm: Workshop – Reciprocity & Knowing My Role On The Team – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 3:10pm to 3:30pm: Yoga – Movement & Breath, Recovery, Observation – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 3:30pm: Dismissal – Pick Up – We will walk players back to Civic Center parking structure

Sunday, May 22

  • 8:00am: Arrival – Belmar Park

  • 1:30pm to 2:00pm: Presentation – Recruiting 101 – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 2:00pm to 2:15pm: Break
  • 2:15pm to 3:15pm: Team Session – Chalk Talk – Samo HS Cafeteria
  • 3:15pm to 3:30pm: Bonding Exercise – Affirmation Echo – Samo HS Cafeteria 
  • 3:30pm: Dismissal – Pick Up – We will walk players back to Civic Center parking structure

 

WHAT TO BRING – This List May Grow

  • Fire pinnie – if you are just joining us, we will have one for you
  • Water for the field (we will have water in the cafeteria for lunch and workshops)
  • Sneakers for the off-field activities
  • Notepad and pen
  • Personal snacks, if you need them
  • Yoga mat (!!) – If you do not have one, please let us know
